Quick start

  1. Open the app and tap Get Started. On iPhone/iPad, allow access to your photos. On Mac you can also pick any folder from Finder.
  2. Tap Start Sorting and choose an album (or a folder on Mac).
  3. Swipe right = Keep, left = Trash, up = Later (with a keyboard: D / A / W or the arrow keys).
  4. Tap Finish → Apply. Nothing changes until you confirm.

FAQ

Does the app delete my photos?

Only what you confirm — and recoverably. On iPhone & iPad, trashed photos go to the system's Recently Deleted album (recoverable for ~30 days). In Mac folder mode, they're moved into a trash/ folder inside your chosen folder. Nothing is permanently deleted behind your back.

Do my photos leave my device?

Never. Joujik: Photo Organizer is 100% on-device — no servers, no uploads, no analytics. See our Privacy Policy.

Does the app move my photos or create albums?

On iPhone & iPad — no. "Keep" leaves a photo exactly where it is and "Later" is remembered only inside the app. On Mac folder mode, sorted files move into keep / later / trash subfolders of the folder you chose.

What about duplicates and bursts?

The app finds exact duplicates and groups near-identical shots and burst sequences using on-device intelligence (Apple's Vision framework) — keep the best, remove the rest in one tap.

Can I resume a sorting session later?

Yes — every swipe autosaves. Reopen the app and pick up where you left off from My Sessions.

What formats are supported in Mac folder mode?

JPG, PNG, HEIC, GIF, BMP, and WebP.

Keyboard shortcuts?

D/→ Keep · A/← Trash · W/↑ Later · Z Undo · Enter Finish. Works on Mac and on an iPad with a hardware keyboard.
